The Gulfstream G100 is a twin-engine business jet originally manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries for Gulfstream Aerospace. Deliveries began in 1986 and the United States Navy currently operates the aircraft under the name C-38A Courier. In 2002, an updated version called the G150 was launched, which featured a wider and longer fuselage, updated avionics, and increased maximum takeoff weight. Production of the G100 was discontinued in 2017, following slow sales, while the G150 was last delivered in mid-2017. The Astra was further developed in the 1990s to become the IAI Galaxy, later renamed the Gulfstream G200. The C-38A replaced an earlier aircraft for the United States Air Force in 1997 and was operated by the 201st Airlift Squadron until 2015.
