Daher is a French industrial conglomerate that operates in the aerospace, defense, nuclear, and automotive industries. The company was founded in 1863 as a shipping company in Marseille, France, and has been controlled by the Daher family for over 100 years. In addition to its transportation services, Daher also manufactures aircraft, engines, aerostructures, valves, provides nuclear services and logistical services. It has grown its presence in the aviation industry over the years by acquiring French general aviation manufacturer SOCATA and American aircraft company Quest Aircraft. Daher is also a subcontractor of aerostructures on behalf of several aerospace firms, including Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, and Gulfstream Aerospace. Throughout its history, Daher has expanded its activities to include transportation of locomotives and railway rolling stock by sea, involvement in France’s nuclear power industry, and global logistics services. The company generated revenue of $1.1billion in 2017.
