Dassault Aviation SA is a company based in Paris, France that manufactures military aircraft and business jets. Founded in 1929 as Société des Avions Marcel Bloch or “MB” by Marcel Bloch, the company changed its name to Avions Marcel Dassault on 20 January 1947 when Marcel Bloch changed his name to Marcel Dassault. In 1971, Dassault acquired Breguet and formed Avions Marcel Dassault-Breguet Aviation (AMD-BA). The company was renamed Dassault Aviation in 1990 and is currently a subsidiary of Dassault Group. Éric Trappier has been the Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation since 9 January 2013. The company’s products include civil and military aircraft, as well as space activities. As of 2021, Dassault Aviation had a revenue of €7.2 billion, an operating income of €527 million, net income of €693 million, and total assets of €20.5 billion. It had 12,440 employees as of 2021.
