EAGLE

Eagle Aircraft Company is an American aircraft manufacturer that specializes in the production of agricultural aircraft. It was established in 1977 by Dean Wilson, with its headquarters located in Boise, Idaho. The company’s flagship product is the Eagle DW.1 crop-sprayer, which features tapering wings that allow for a payload of 2,750 lb (1,247 kg) and a spraying speed of 65 mph (105 km/h). During the early years of production, the company partnered with Bellanca Aircraft of Alexandria, Minnesota, to produce a series of 95 aircraft from 1979 to 1983, with over 40 remaining in active use for agricultural purposes in 2001. Eagle Aircraft Company gained some attention in the automotive industry when its founder designed a race car for the 1981 Indianapolis 500. However, the car was not successful due to engine issues and the company did not pursue further involvement in the automotive industry.
