Extra Aircraft is a German aircraft manufacturer that was founded in 1980 by Walter Extra, an aerobatic pilot, to design and produce aerobatic aircraft. The company is located at Dinslaken airfield in Hünxe, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany and currently has 75 employees. Their worldwide production rate is approximately three units per month with a six-month backlog. Extra Aircraft offers a range of aerobatic trainers and aircraft, including the EA-200, EA-230 “Laser,” EA-260, EA-300, EA-330, as well as tourers such as the EA-330-LT, EA-400, and EA-500.
