Gyroflug was a German aircraft manufacturer specializing in light aircraft, with a major product being the Gyroflug Speed Canard. The company was founded in 1978 and operated until 1992. Gyroflug produced a two-seat canard light aircraft known as the Gyroflug Speed Canard, which was made of composite materials and designed to be factory-built. The first prototype of the Speed Canard made its maiden flight in December 1980, with the second prototype following in April 1983. The Speed Canard was certified in Germany in 1983 and in the United States in 1990. In 1984, Gyroflug was purchased by the Justus Dornier Group and was later renamed FFT (Gesellschaft für Flugzeug- und Faserverbund-Technologie mbH) in 1990. FFT ceased trading on December 31, 1992. The Eurotrainer 2000 was a single-engined four-seat light aircraft originally designed by the Swiss company Flug- und Fahrzeugwerk Altenrhein (FFA) and produced by FFT in 1990.
