HATZ

Motorenfabrik Hatz is a German-based manufacturer of diesel engines, specializing in small, lightweight, and robust engines that are primarily used in small construction machinery, generators, and pumps. The company was founded in 1880 by Mathias Hatz and began producing engines in 1904. Hatz quickly became known for its hot bulb engines for stationary use and eventually developed its H-series, the first water-cooled diesel engine, in 1910. In 1950, Hatz presented its first agricultural tractors, and three years later, its first air-cooled four-stroke diesel engine went on sale worldwide. Since then, Hatz has continued to innovate with the introduction of quieter small diesel engines, including the world’s smallest industrial diesel engine, the E671, and the compact two-cylinder engine, the 2G30. Today, Hatz employs approximately 1060 people worldwide and produces diesel engines, automotive components, generators, and pumps.
