LANCAIR

Lancair International is a privately held aerospace company located in Uvalde, Texas, founded in 1981 by Lance Neibauer. The company is known for its high-performance single-engine aircraft, offering better cruise speeds compared to many twin-engine turboprops. Lancair’s composite homebuilt aircraft kits, along with the Glasair series, were some of the first kitplanes to employ modern molded composites construction for light aircraft. Lancair International’s product line includes the Lancair 235, Lancair 360, Lancair IV-P, Lancair Legacy, Lancair Propjet, and Lancair Evolution. In early 2017, the company was sold and moved from Redmond, Oregon to Uvalde, Texas, retaining the name Lancair International, LLC. The newest model, Lancair Evolution, was retained by the existing company, which subsequently changed its name to the Evolution Aircraft Company.
