MICCO

The Micco SP series is inspired by the Meyers Aircraft Company’s past models. One of the early models, the OTW biplane, was used in the Civil Pilot Training Program during the late thirties and early forties. Another one of their models, the MAC 145, was designed in 1948. Only 20 of these aircraft were built, and as of today, 17 are still flying. The MAC 145 is renowned for its in-flight stability, nimble performance, and ease of handling. Micco Aircraft Company acquired the design and Type Certificate of the Meyers 145 in 1994 and invested heavily in enhancing and redesigning it. After extensive development, engineering, and flight testing, the FAA awarded an amended Type Certificate (MAC 145-A) to the aircraft in early 2000.
