Progressive Aerodyne, Inc is an American aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Tavares, Florida that specializes in designing and manufacturing amphibious kit aircraft for the amateur-construction market. The company was founded in Orlando, Florida in 1991 by Kerry Richter, Wayne Richter, and Paige Lynette, moving to Tavares in May 2010. The SeaRey, the company’s main product, was first flown in November 1992. As of 2022, Geoffrey Nicholson is the company’s CEO. The SeaRey is a two-seat amphibious kit aircraft, and Progressive Aerodyne has also built at least nine single-seat amphibious kit aircraft called the Stingray.
