Redbird Flight Simulations is an American company that specializes in flight training and produces various aviation training devices. It was founded in 2006 and its flagship product, the Redbird FMX simulator, has become the largest selling simulator in history, with over 320 units delivered worldwide as of 2012. In fact, as of 2018, Redbird has sold and delivered over 1,200 aviation training devices to more than 30 countries, making it the leading manufacturer in this category. Its products include the AOPA Jay, RedHawk, Alloy, FMX, and Redbird CAPS. The company’s name is derived from a flight simulator built around a Cessna 177 Cardinal fuselage, which was nicknamed “redbird”. Redbird Flight Simulations is headquartered in Austin, Texas, United States and has key executives, such as Jerry Gregoire as founder & co-chairman, Craig Fuller as co-chairman, Todd Willinger as CEO, and Charlie Gregoire as president.
