REMO’s early beginnings trace back to the early 1990s when they began producing experimental Ultralight aircraft. The REMOS G-3 series took off in 1997, marking the launch of a new class of light aircraft. For several years, REMOS produced 10 to 20 aircraft annually on a farm north of Munich. Their success led them to move to brand-new facilities in Pasewalk, Mecklenburg – Western Pomerania in 2006 where they currently operate.
In the same year, REMOS received certification in the United States as Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) for their G-3 series. Two years later, in 2008, REMOS released the new GX series featuring a fully redesigned wing made entirely of carbon-fiber composite material. REMOS continued to innovate with the introduction of the GXNXT/GXnXES models in 2011 featuring a new avionics suite integrated into an innovative, low weight, and compact cockpit panel.
In 2016, REMOS released the GXiS model, the first REMOS with a fuel-injected engine Rotax 912 iS Sport. REMOS’s aircraft have been highly praised for their extraordinary flight characteristics, superior quality, and exceptional reliability, earning them recognition as “Ultralight Aircraft of the Year 2000” and “Best Brand” in the ultralight category in aerokurier’s readers’ survey in 2007.
