Schweizer R.S.G. is a manufacturer of aircraft based in Horseheads, New York, United States. The company was founded in 1939 by three Schweizer brothers, who built their first glider, the SGP 1-1, in 1930. Schweizer initially specialized in gliders, agricultural aircrafts, and light, piston-engined helicopters for utility and flight training roles, such as the Schweizer 300CBi, which is known for being one of the most widely-used training helicopters in the world. In 2004, Schweizer was acquired by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and became a diversified aerospace company. However, the company ceased operations in 2012. In 2018, it was sold to Schweizer R.S.G., which reopened production lines in Fort Worth, Texas. As of 2021, the company is producing three helicopter models.
