Progressive Aerodyne is an aircraft manufacturer based in Tavares, Florida, that specializes in designing and producing amphibious kit aircraft for the amateur-construction market. The company was founded in 1991 in Orlando, Florida, by Kerry Richter, Wayne Richter, and Paige Lynette, and moved to Tavares in May 2010. The SeaRey, the company’s signature product, had its maiden flight in November 1992. The company has a new CEO, Geoffrey Nicholson.
