TEAM ROCKET

The F1 Rocket is a two-seat sport aircraft designed and marketed by Team Rocket of Texas, United States. The plane is built mainly of aluminum and has a titanium fixed conventional landing gear with a tailwheel. The prototype was powered by a Lycoming IO-540 engine with a three-bladed propeller, and had tandem seating for two with a rear-sliding canopy and a fixed windscreen. The F1 Rocket has been built in a range of nose-mounted engines between 235 and 350 hp (175 and 224 kW). The aircraft has a range of variants including the F1 Rocket, which uses a Lycoming IO-540 or Continental IO-550 engine of 250-350 HP and a rectangular wing design similar to the Vans RV-4 wing, and the F4 Raider, which uses a 4-cylinder Lycoming engine or clone. In late 2017, over 130 F1 Rockets had flown. The F1 Evo, an evolutionary variant design, utilized a tapered wing as compared to the rectangular wing on the F1 with significant changes made to the aileron and flap design. Frazier Aviation Products LLC of Indiana has been producing the aircraft in the U.S. under license from Team Rocket since April 2017.
