Tecnam is an Italian manufacturer of aircraft components and light aircraft. Established in 1986 by brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale, the company initially produced aerospace parts for other manufacturers such as Boeing and ATR, before entering the growing Light Sport Aircraft market with their P92 Eaglet model. Tecnam now operates production facilities in Casoria and Capua, Italy, and has established sales and delivery complexes in Sebring, Florida and Australia to support North American and Australian operators respectively. The company produces several LSA designs as well as certificated aircraft, with several models featuring side-by-side twin-seat configurations, aluminum monocoque construction, and powered by the 100 hp Rotax 912S engine. As of 2018, they have delivered 5,000 aircraft worldwide and employ 250 people. The founding brothers have both passed away, but the company is now led by Luigi’s nephew, Paolo, as CEO and his son, Giovanni, as director of operations.
