VULCANAIR/PARTENAVIA

The Vulcanair P68, previously known as the Partenavia P68, is a light aircraft designed by Luigi Pascale and manufactured by Vulcanair. The aircraft made its maiden flight on May 25, 1970, and was certified on November 17, 1971. In 1998, its certification was transferred to Vulcanair. The original design was a high-wing monoplane with a seating capacity of six and powered by twin piston engines, suitable for training and light transport purposes. The P68 Observer is a version of the aircraft specially designed for observation with a transparent nose, larger fuel tanks, and adapted systems. The aircraft has a stretched twin turboprop derivative variant that can accommodate between 10 to 11 passengers. The Partenavia P68 was approved by the FAA on December 7, 1971, and has since undergone several certification revisions to accommodate retractable landing gear, increased weights, and turbocharged engines. As per the 2021 equipped price, the P68C costs around $1.25M, P68R around $1.5M, and P68C-TC around $1.55M.
