XtremeAir GmbH was an aerospace company that operated as an aircraft manufacturer in Cochstedt, Germany. It was established in December 2005 by Harro Moewes and specialized in designing and producing type-certified aerobatic aircraft. The company was owned by Zair Aerospace, a Chinese firm headquartered in Wuhan, after being acquired in 2018. XtremeAir employed around 50 people, with Qing Liu serving as CEO and Waldemar Sawenko as the Quality Manager. Philipp Steinbach designed the Sbach series of aircraft for the company. XtremeAir’s manufacturing operations were based in a newly-constructed 2,400 m2 plant at the Magdeburg-Cochstedt Airport, which the company moved into in December 2006. The company’s product portfolio included two types of aircraft: the Sbach 300 and the Sbach 342. The company went out of business and ceased operations in March 2021.
