Zlin Aircraft is an aerospace company located on the outskirts of Otrokovice, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1934 by Zlín-based company Baťa and initially produced gliders and single engine aircraft trainers. Later, its production expanded to include sport and agriculture aircraft. During the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, the factory produced German trainer types Klemm Kl 35 and Bücker Bü 181, which were later produced as Z-181. After WWII, the company was nationalized and was known by different names before adopting the name Moravan in 1953. The company produced a series of Z-26 trainers in the 1960s and 70s, along with other small aircraft such as crop-dusting Z-37 and aerobatics special Z-50. The company currently has 138 employees and reported a net income of 2,492,000 Czech koruna in 2016. This article relies largely on a single source, and additional citations are needed to improve it.
