Mustang Aeronautics, Inc. is an aircraft manufacturer located in Troy, Michigan. Established in March 1992, they acquired the design rights for the Midget Mustang and Mustang II aircraft from Robert Bushby. Their hangar is based at the Oakland Troy (VLL) airport, and visitors are welcome to arrange a visit by appointment or request a map for directions. Chris Tieman is the current president of Mustang Aeronautics and has a degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan. His interest in finding an airplane that was faster and more economical than the average factory model led him to the Mustang II. Chris’ background in aeronautical engineering and metal fabrication is evident in the complete kits they currently offer. These kits use new manufacturing processes that have streamlined the construction process while maintaining the economy of the Mustang.
